How To Fix Cannot Create Homegroup On Windows
Networking is a very
important section of all the device. One of the major reasons is that it is
required for sharing files and to get connected with others. This sharing is an
essential part if you wish to exchange data between two separate computers.
Remember! For doing this, you
need to setup a Homegroup, at the same time, unfortunately, some Windows 10
device owners are getting an error stating 'Homegroup can't be set on this PC.'
Here are the ways of creating a homegroup on the device of
Windows 10
Removing data via PeerNetworking folder
1.
Firstly,
visit C:\Windows\Service\Profiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking
2.
Then,
remove 'idstore.sst' and go further to the next 3. If removing does not work,
then visit C:\Windows\Service\Profiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking
and remove every data in it before returning the next step.
3.
After
that, visit the Network Setting and leave the Homegroup.
4.
Do
this same procedure for every device in the network.
5.
Next,
switch off the devices.
6.
Then,
enable only one device and make another Homegroup.
7.
Note
that this Homegroup shall be identified on every device from now on.
Turn
on the peer network grouping services
1.
Firstly,
go to the search box and write services.msc.
2.
Then,
tap Enter or else press OK.
3.
After
that, look for the list of 'Peer Network Grouping,' 'Peer Network Identity Manager,'
'Homegroup Listener' and 'Homegroup Provider.'
4.
Check
if the given services are turned off or put to the manual, then change it to
Automatic and exit the Homegroup.
5.
Next,
make a new Homegroup and check whether it works or not.
6.
Remember
that you need to take this step for every device of your network.
7.
Set
complete authority to 'MachineKeys' along with 'PeerNetworking' folders
8.
Search
''C:\Program\Data\Microsoft\CryptoRSA\MachineKeys''
9.
After
that, search ''C:\Windows\Service\Profiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking''
10.
Next,
press on every data and select Properties.
11.
Then,
visit the Security tab.
12.
Note
that you shall be able to view a number of users, press on a group, and tap on
Edit.
13.
Next,
go through the options and press on Full Control.
14.
Do
the above procedure for each device you want to avail to the Homegroup.
