Nowadays, everybody
uses Netflix. It is one of the most popular online media streaming services
across the globe. Even though Netflix is an amazing video streaming platform,
it is not always a joy to use. Sometimes, Netflix may crash or freeze on web
browsers. You may encounter Netflix not working on Chrome error. Well, try
following these basic troubleshooting tips to fix the problem.
Netflix
not working in Chrome: What to do?
1. Refresh the webpage
Are you getting
Netflix not working in Chrome error? Try refreshing the webpage and see if it
does the trick. Chrome takes up a lot of memory, and as a result, may get stuck
when significant memory is consumed. In case the video stops playing, and you
see any error, then just reload the page. If the regular refresh does not work,
then force refresh the page. Press Control + R keys on your Windows PC, and it
will bypass the cache and force the page to reload. Mac users can hit the
Command + Shift + R keys to do the same.
o Clear the browser
cache
At times cache may
cause Netflix to stop working in Chrome. Hence, you should clear the browser
cache. Doing so will remove any corrupt files that are causing the error. To
clear the Chrome cache, just click on the ellipsis icon at the top right corner
and select More Tools. Now, click on Clear browsing data and select a time
range. Choose All Time. Place a tick on the squared beside Cookies and other
site data along with Cached images and files. Click on the Clear data button.
o Go incognito
In case the problem
persists even after clearing the cache. Then try opening the browser in
Incognito mode. This private session does not use any cache and just accepts
session cookies. Here’s what you need to do:
o Find the Chrome icon on the toolbar.
o Right-click on it.
o Choose the New Incognito Window option from
the Tasks section in the context menu.
o Now, go to the Netflix website.
o Sign in to your account
o Play a video.
o Check if it is playing without error.
o Check the extensions
Did your Netflix, all
of a sudden, stop working when you got a new extension for Chrome? If the
answer is yes, then the extension may be causing the error. Turn off the newly
added extension, and then reload the webpage. Go to Netflix and see if the video
is streaming properly or not. If this does not do the trick, then just remove
the new extension from the browser.
o New Chrome User
