How to Install the MacOS Catalina Golden Master to Mac?


We will soon be getting new functions for macOS Catalina 10.15 that needs to be tested, before getting released in public. Like every time, Apple is offering early access to avail this version to developers, so that the faults and bugs could be figured out. Here are the steps to download and install macOS Catalina 10.15.



Create an Archived Backup of the Mac with Time Machine
If you want to create an archived backup of the Mac with Time Machine, then you need to follow the instructions given below.
  • First of all, plug in the external hard disk or Time Capsule with a USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt cord.
  • Then you should go to the Apple icon in the top left-hand side of the screen.
  • Navigate to the drop-down menu & choose System Preferences.
  • You have to go to the System Preferences screen & choose Time Machine.
  • Later, switch the toggle of Time Machine to the “On” position.
  • Now, click on the “Select Backup Disk” & select the disk you want to use.
Install the MacOS Catalina Developer Beta 
You need to install the MacOS Catalina developer beta, follow the steps mentioned below.
  • Get started by going to the “developer.apple.com” on the Mac.
  • Then you should select the Discover option.
  • You have to go to the MacOS tab.
  • Click on Download.
  • When the prompt comes, sign in to the developer account.
  • You should move down & select the Install Profile option for MacOS Catalina 10.15. The file will download automatically to the Mac.
  • Navigate to the Downloads window & choose MacOS Catalina Developer Beta Access Utility.
  • Now, twice click on “macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.pkg” to run the installer.
Install the MacOS Catalina Developer Beta 
If you want to install the MacOS Catalina developer beta, then you need to follow the instructions given below.
  • To get started, go to the Continue option.
  • Then you should accept Apple’s Terms & Conditions.
  • You have to go to the Install option & click on it.
  • Now, go with the instructions to install MacOS Catalina.
Installing the MacOS Catalina Beta on a Partition
You need to install the MacOS Catalina beta on a partition, follow the steps mentioned below.
  • First, you have to make a partition on the Mac.
  • When the downloading is complete & prepare to install, click on Continue.
  • You should click on Agree to accept the terms & conditions.
  • Click on Agree again to accept the terms.
  • Then you have to choose Show All Disks to move from the main partition.
  • Later, choose the partition you would like to install the software on.
  • Now, click on Install.

Getting Started with the MacOS Catalina Developer Beta
If you want to get started with the MacOS Catalina developer beta, then you need to follow the instructions given below.
  • To begin with, go to the Continue option & click on it.
  • Then you should log in with the Apple ID & password. iCloud will synchronize the desktop & other files.
  • Now, go to the Get Started option & click on it.
