How to Fix Steam Workshop not Downloading Mods?


If you are facing errors while trying to download mods from Steam’s Workshop continuously and the mod is not registered for download or does not appear in the download list, then here are the steps to fix the error.




Through Big Picture in Steam
You need to fix the Steam workshop error through big-picture mods. So, follow the directions given below.
•    Firstly, you have to go into Big Picture Mode.
•    After that, you should select the associated icon in the top right-hand corner.
•    In Big Picture Mode, check if the mods are downloading.
Removing Corrupted Mods
You can fix the steam workshop not downloading issue by removing mods. So, here are the steps that you must follow.
•    Firstly, you have to ensure that Steam is completely closed.
•    After that, you should go to the File Explorer and select the ribbon bar.
•    Then you have to choose the “View” tab and make sure that the hidden item box is marked with a checkmark.
•    After you see hidden items, you can use File Explorer to go to the following locations.
•     Now, you should try each mode separately and check which one is prompting the “Location is not available” problem.
•    If more than one is prompting the “Location is not available” error, then it is proved that the problem source is corruption.
•    In this situation, only keep the safe mod in your device and delete the rest of broken mods from your device.
•    After that, you should go to the Steam and select the “Library” tab.
•    Then you have to right click on the game which uses the mod and select Properties.
•    Thereafter you should navigate the “Local Files” option and choose “Verify Integrity of Game Files”.
•    Now, when the process is finished, you can try to download a new mod and check if it finishes successfully.
Deleting Download Cache
You may fix the Steam workshop issue through deleting download cache. So, here are the steps you can follow:
•    Firstly, you have to go to the Steam client.
•    After that, you should navigate the ribbon bar.
•    Then you can select the Steam.
•    Choose the Settings from the context menu.
•    In Settings, choose the Downloads button through the vertical menu.
•    Now, you should scroll over the right-hand side and select the “Clear Download Cache”.
•    When the prompt comes, click on “Yes”.
•    Later you should sign in to your Steam account once more and try to download the mod.
Resetting Download Region
You can reset the download region to fix the issue. Here’s how you can do that:
•    Firstly, you have to launch the Steam through the ribbon bar.
•    After that, you should select Settings.
•    In the Settings menu, you have to click on Downloads.
•    Then you should scroll over to the right side and reset the “Download Region” from the drop-down menu.
•    Now, select OK to save the changes.
