Windows 10 has an excellent feature called Spotlight which automatically downloads and adds Bing pictures to the system’s Lock screen. The method of resetting Windows Spotlight on Windows 10
Turn off Spotlight feature

  1. Firstly, go to Settings.
  2. Then, press the Personalization option.
  3. After that, press the Lock screen.
  4. Next, go to the ‘Background’ pull-down list.
  5. Then, select either of the two options: Picture and Slideshow, according to your preference.

Clean up Spotlight assets

  1. Firstly, go to Start.
  2. Then, look for Run.
  3. After that, press the result that comes on top.
  4. Next, write the given below order.
  5. %USERPROFILE%/AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets
  6. After that, press the OK button.
  7. Then, choose on every file by using the combination of Ctrl+A on your keyboard.
  8. Next, tap on Delete button for clearing up the old pictures (if available).

Reset Spotlight settings

  1. Firstly, go to Start.

  8. Next, press the Rename button and give their name settings.dat.bak along with roaming.lock.bak.

  7. After that, tap Enter.
  8. Lastly, restart the system.
