How to find, add and set custom ringtones on Android phone


Tired of listening to the same old ringtones of your device? Don't worry! There are many options to get new tones. One of the most common tricks is to edit your favorite music or sound and create a new ringtone, and it also doesn't require any paid subscription or an app to download. However, this will become old. Here you'll know a new trick to find, add set custom ringtones on Android.




Using the Zedge app:
There are lots of places to find new ringtones, but Zedge is the easiest way. With the app, you can personalize your Android phone in various ways. This is a type of customization app, has an impressive collection of Ringtones and Wallpapers. Zedge is simple to use you can find a ringtone easily by browsing through the categories or searching with a title.

1.    Open the 'Zedge' app.
2.    Search and browse for the ringtone.
3.    Open the detail screen of the ringtone. You want to add.
4.    Tap the 'Set' icon in the middle.
5.    Select 'Set Ringtone'.
6.    Tap 'Allow' to permit Zedge to access your files, photos, and media.
7.    On next prompt, tap 'Settings' to allow access to modify system settings.
8.    Then tap on 'Allow modify system settings.'
9.    Go back to the 'Zedge.'

You'll get a notification that the ringtone is applied or updated. You can also set the ringtone for a specific contact. If you want then open the Set menu from the middle of a ringtone screen and select the option "Select contact ringtone."

How to add ringtones to the ringtones folder manually

Although most of the Android phones already have a file manager app. If yours also have, then it's ok, if not, then no problem. Download one from the Google Play store.
1.    Open the folder has new ringtones.
2.    Tap and hold on a tone.
3.    After selecting the first ringtone, tap more ringtones to choose.
4.    Tap on the 'Copy' icon at the top.
5.    Now, open the location menu.
6.    Open 'Internal Memory.'
7.    Open the 'Ringtones' folder to add them as a ringtone. Or select Alarms or Notifications folder to add them as notification or alarm tone.
8.    Paste the ringtones into the folder.
Check the ringtones you'd added will be added to the system's ringtones in the Settings. If it will not, then wait or reboot your phone.

How to set or change a ringtone from Settings
If the custom ringtone has been successfully added, then you'll find them into the ringtones of Settings. And you can select them as your default ringtone.
1.    Open 'Settings'.
2.    Open 'Sound'. Or search for Ringtones.
3.    Tap on 'Phone ringtone.'
4.    Tap to check and select the ringtone.
5.    When you select, tap 'Done' or 'Save.' Or simply go back.
Similarly, you can set or change the notification tone also.

How to set a custom ringtone for a specific person
1.    Open 'Contacts'.
2.    Find and select the contact.
3.    Tap on the contact.
4.    Then tap the 'More (dotted) ' icon.
5.    Select 'Set ringtone'.
6.    Tap to check and select the ringtone.
7.    When you select, tap 'Done' or 'Save.' Or simply go back.
Now, identify who is calling you without looking at your phone.
